“THERE ARE NO RULES

To break in fashion”

Amazon Fashion Week is the biggest fashion extravaganza that happens in the national capital. Every year, at the fashion week the who is who of the industry come and celebrate fashion, write new rules, and set trends for the upcoming season. Models dressed in best of couture, avante-garde, pret, walk down the ramp creating iconic fashion moments from the top industry designers. As a blogger, I love to create my own fashion moments off the ramp, quirking them up and carrying the trends in a wearable way.

Day 1:

It’s almost like a norm for me that I wear Indian on the first day of the fashion week. So, this year following up my previous appearances, I showed up in a bright yellow Aangrakha kurta teamed with a black churidar and a black suede jutti to mute down the bright yellow. To add a little quirk, I added a golden reindeer broach. Oh, and do check out my clutch – a hand painted sustainable fabric bag from Atulya Kala

Day 2:

Denim on denim is a trend that never goes out of fashion. They say, “You can never go wrong with basics”. So, teaming different shades of blue with a white quote vest seemed to keep my style game on point. I wore a light blue rugged denim from Zara, a white vest from H&M, and a blue denim shirt from Gas India teamed with hand painted silver colour sneakers.

Day 3:

Shacket (comfort of a shirt which structure of a jacket) is the hottest trend this year. On the third day, I mixed two happening trends – denim on denim with a shacket, and was clad in black. The Zara jogger black denim teamed with a grey tee from a flea market in Canada and Superdry black shacket hanging on the shoulder. To glam it up, I used tie pins: a moustache, a nerd glass, and an arrow from my own label Epoch and used them as broach. I teamed this look with quirky polka dot green colour socks and Addidas alpha bounce shoes.

Day 4:

Breaking from the monotony of wearing single colours, Day 4 was a printed affair. I amalgamated a light blue Pasiley print shirt from Parx with a sky blue tapered trouser from Zara with patent leather wine colour customised shoes. To compliment the look, I took a sleek sustainable fabric hand clutch in white and red from Atulya Kala.

Day 5:

Suits are forever classics, but they are now given modern twist and tailored in a way to team them with sneakers. Thus, Day 5 was about the celebrity trends of combining a beige colour jogger from Zara with a plain black tee from H&M, and layering it up with a jacket from Louis Phillipe with Nike marathon collection. I added a blue bow lapel pin and a blue floral printed pocket square from Epoch.

Till next time
